Because the elastic strain of the pressure sensor has a certain limit, special attention is needed when using it. Do not apply excessive pressure, which will cause the strain to exceed its maximum value and cause damage. Although the general monitor or automatic blood pressure measuring instrument has an overpressure protection device, the sensor damage caused by improper human operation cannot be ignored. (1) When the air pump is full, do not pinch the cuff. (2) When the air is not finished, do not break the cuff. Because the cuff injury results in a surge of pressure in the airway, which can damage the sensor.
Sensor damage will appear on some instruments, the main prompt is that there is a problem with the pressure channel, at this time should check the pressure sensor, when the pressure sensor has a problem, some instruments do not have any prompt.
