Weighing sensor is a kind of sensor which uses weighing element as detecting element and is widely used in automation field. Load cells can be used for material handling, error detection, processing and manufacturing automation, as well as for long-distance object detection or fault detection. Weighing sensors have unique advantages in object distance detection, but there will be some technical problems in the specific use environment, which requires our organized technical judgment.


When applying a load cell to detect the distance of an object, many users encounter the problem that there is no output signal after the load cell detects the object, resulting in no subsequent data analysis. When people see no signal output, they often make some wrong judgments on the sensor, for example, some people directly determine that the sensor is broken. But the reasons are not all like that, the weighing sensor detected the object after no output, there may be many reasons, we need to step by step to do the investigation.


The first thing to consider is the wiring or configuration. For the beam type weighing sensor, it must be used by the light emitting part and the light receiving part, and both ends need power supply; The regression reflection type must be used by the combination of sensor probe and regression reflector. At the same time, the user must provide a stable power supply to the sensor, if it is DC power supply, it must confirm the positive and negative electrodes, if the positive and negative electrode connection is wrong, it will lead to no output signal.


The above reason analysis is the consideration of the weighing sensor itself, we also need to consider the location of the detection object, if the detection object is not in the detection area, such detection is futile. The detected object must be within the area that the sensor can detect, that is, within the range that the weight can perceive. Secondly, it is necessary to consider whether the optical axis of the sensor is aligned, the optical axis of the casting part and the receiving part of the beam must be aligned, and the corresponding probe part of the regression reflection type and the optical axis of the reflector must be aligned. It is also necessary to consider whether the detection object meets the standard detection object or the minimum detection object standard, the detection object can not be less than the minimum detection object standard, so as to avoid causing the reflection type can not detect transparent objects well, like the reflection type has requirements for the color of the detection object, the darker the color, the closer the detection distance.


If the above cases can be clearly ruled out, what we need to do is to detect environmental interference factors. If the light intensity can not exceed the rated range; If there is dust in the field environment, we need to clean the surface of the load cell probe regularly; Or multiple sensors are closely installed and interfere with each other; There is also a relatively large impact is electrical interference, if there are high-power equipment around, interference must have the corresponding anti-interference measures. If you have done the above one by one investigation, these factors can be clearly excluded or no signal output, it is recommended to return to the manufacturer for testing and judgment.
